what we do
Raapfontein is a working sheep and cattle farm that was bought in the 1940's by Jannie's grandfather. After studying Engineering, Jannie moved to the farm and has been passionately farming here for the past 20 plus years. In 2012 Jannie and Linmarie got married and soon after Raapfontein self-catering was started.
In 2023 the camp-site was opened, and we hosted our first guests in August 2023. The camp-site is also home to our unique self-catering caravan – Saffier. In 2025 we added Merino Cottage, a beautiful private bachelor cottage with sunset views. Raapfontein offers various self-catering accommodation options and pride ourself in delivering exceptional service.
The owner, Linmarie, studied Hospitality Management and is passionate about hosting guests, meeting new people and Karoo farm living. Book your stay and experience the peace and quiet of the Karoo with us.
